Brian Clough of Derby County was told to put an offer in writing if he wanted Gemmell and Jimmy Johnstone. Played in Downing stadium, Randalls Island again which was described as 'pretty run down'. Half the floodlights were out of order and the glare from the ones in order were said to have near blinded the spectators. Attendance 6,282.
