Review
Hearts kicked off and Celtic scored within 30 seconds with a magnificent goal when Hay, Hood, Johnstone and Murdoch all combined with precision passing and movement to send Hughes clear and big Yogi scored with a fine shot.
Hearts fought back well with wingers Jensen and Lynch so influential that Stein was forced to switch Hay and Gemmell to cope with them.
Celtic fought back as Hearts drew level with another Hegarty goal and Connelly scored with a powerful right foot shot.
At 3-2 Hearts were still in it but Macari's fine late header made the game safe. Macari who came on as a sub always looked dangerous.
