Review

Without sacked manager George Farm, Dunfermiline were struggling but still managed to put up a good fight and keep it to 0-0 at half time.

Wallace made the first goal when he beat ex-Celt Cushley in a chase for the ball and crossed for Macari. Macari continued his rich vein of form with a goal and Wallace's penalty was described as 'Gemmell like'. Only after the introduction of substitute Hood did Celts start to play. Murdoch and Connelly with their poise and passing were Celtic's best men on the day.
