Review
Airdrie shock Celtic by coming back from 3-1 down to snatch a replay.
The Celtic defence did not look comfortable against the striking duo of Drew Busby and Drew Jarvie. Airdrie were two goals down at the interval and looked out of it. But they got going well in the second half and caused the Celtic defense increasing problems. With the match tied after 68 minutes, the final 20 odd minutes was tense. Jimmy Johnstone almost made a replay an irrelevance but Airdrie's goalkeeper pulled off a class save and in the last minutes a Tommy6 Gemmell special shaved the outside of the post.
Jimmy Johnstone was Celtic's best player on the day and scored with a fine header. He was also booked along with Jarvie of Airdrie.
Question marks now began to be further asked about a leaky Celtic defence.
