Review
The kick off was delayed for seven minutes to allow the crowd at the tunstiles to get in. There was also fighting on the terraces before kick off and this continued at the half time break.
This was a tight and tense game as one might imagine from two teams at the top of the division. Hibs were tight but lacked a forward capable to doing the business despite the efforts of Bertie Auld to force on the younger forwards.
Macari won the game for Celtic with a great opportunist goal after a mistake by Blackley allowed him a sight of goal.
McNeill, Hay and Connelly were solid when Hibs' attacked.
