Scottish Cup round up
By Raymond Jacobs
Celtic’s match cannot be taken as anything much more than completing a formality, but in going through the motions Jock Stein has, of course, other targets in his sights. He will need all his best ammunition in prime condition for the league and European Cup campaigns as well as this one, and there is the game against Dinamo Kiev on Monday night.
.
In his pool of 15 players Stein has named Lou Macari and Bobby Murdoch, both out of the senior team for several weeks because of injury, and they are expected to turn out this afternoon. Paul Wilson also was included and Evan Williams retains his place in goal.

CELTS TURN ON HEAT
By JERRY DAWSON
CELTIC…5 ALBION ROVERS… 0 (H.T. 2-0) Scorers: Macari (8 min.), Deans (25), Callaghan (51, 90), Murdoch (76).
.
ONE player ordered off, another booked and a penalty miss by Kenny Dalglish.
These were the highlights of a dramatic second half at Parkhead yesterday as Celtic piled on the pressure.
With Celtic leading 3-0 and on almost continual attack, the game flared up in the 70th minute when Rutherford was booked for a foul on Hay.
Then, just five minutes later, left back Martin was ordered off for stamping on Wilson.
Perfect
The spot kick miss by Dalglish came with four minutes left after Macari had been brought down by Tuddenham.
It was the only blot on an excellent performance by Dalglish.
In fact, it was he who set Celtic off on the goal trail after only eight minutes.
The youngster, at outside right for the day, slipped over a perfect free kick from the right of the penalty area and comeback boy Lou Macari was in the right position to head decisively past keeper Brown.
Macari, too, was in lively form and, in 25 minutes he passed to Dean who wheeled smartly and shot the ball low into the net from 16 yards. It was really all Celtic and only careless finishing kept the score down.
However, after the interval Celtic hit No. 3, Dalglish cleverly held the ball before placing it in the path of the advancing Callaghan who lobbed it over the keeper into the net.
Celtic then took off Deans and McCluskey took over the sweeper's role with Connolly moving forward.
A minute later, Rovers brought on McKinder for McGranaghan.
Goal No. 4 came after 76 minutes. Bobby Murdoch, who was having a satisfactory return, Iatched on to a rebound from the hard pressed Rovers defence and crashed a tremendous 20-yarder into the net.
Tommy Callaghan, who had a tremendous second half, slammed in No. 5 from the 18-yard line in the final minute.
Manager Jock Stein could be particularly pleased with the form of Dalglish, Macari and Callaghan in attack and Bobby Murdoch starred in a defence that was never pushed.
