Celtic won comfortably in the end.
Deans opened the scoring with a glorious volley beating the offside trap and Lennox slotted in a second after great lead up work by McGrain and Davidson.
George Connelly was immense again in defence and is a favourite to win player of the year.
This put Rangers 2 points ahead and Celtic with a game in hand.
