Review
A large crowd turned out on a fine autumnal day to watch two in form teams.
19 years old MacDonald replaced the injured McNeill at centre half and had an excellent game marking Drew Busby out of the game.
Celtic's three goals were superb. Connelly opened the scoring in 7 minutes when he scored with a glorious 30 yard shot. Dalglish raced through the Hearts' defence to score with aplomb for the second and he added the third with a twisting header just before half time.
Celtic played out the second half comfortably.
