Review
Dalglish's goal gives Celts a narrow but deserved victory. He runs on to Deans' header to score in 39 minutes.
The goal was hotly disputed by the Ayr players as being offside. Much to everyone's surprise referee Bobby Davidson ruled in Celtic's favour and the goal stood. In the second half he turned down a surefire Celtic penalty. Ayr had the ball in the net in the second half but that was deemed over the byeline before the cut back and that led to Murphy's booking. Connelly and McAnespie were also booked.
McNeill and Connelly cope well with ex Rangers' pair McLean and Ferguson.
