Trivia
- Danny McGrain plays against his cousin also named Danny McGrain.Clyde were of course
- Bobby Lennox is booked for the first time since the battle of Montivideo against Racing in 1967.
- After Dalglish scored the Shawfield lights failed temporarily. There had been a special dispensation from the government to all football clubs that they might play with lights on either the 1st or the 2nd …. but not both. The lights failure at Shawfield was more of a technical nature – surprisingly as Clyde had been one of the first clubs to bring in extra generators at the start of the state of emergency before they too were banned.
