Review
Celtic rested Connaghan, Murray, McNeill, Hood and Johnstone with a view to Saturday's SCF with Dundee United.
The outcome was a fairly dismal match at Pittodrie. Aberdeen had most of the play and were pinned back into their own half in the first half. The defence was strong enough to hold off the challenge from Aberdeen despite having to soak up lots of pressure.
