Review
Celtic were worthy winners with two Bobby Lennox penalties after Lennox himself had been fouled on both occasions.
Lennox, after accepting a Dalglish pass was pulled down in the area and got up to convert the spot kick for the first goal.
Motherwell equalised when Connaghan punched out a cross and Taylor volleyed home from 20 yds.
Lennox was again pulled down in the box in the second half and again converted from the spot to give Celtic the points.
Pat McCluskey earned rave reviews with a splendid display and is said to be close to a Scotland call up. However he was booked again and now faces a ban after his fourth booking of the season.
