Review
Jock Stein remarked that this was one of the finest 0-0 draws he had ever seen.
Both teams attacked and both goalkeepers had tremendous matches. In 62 minutes Hamish McAlpine made a fine save from Steve Murray's penalty after Davidson was fouled in the area by Rolland and this ensured a point for United. There were fine performances from strikers Andy Gray and Kenny Dalglish.
