Trivia
- A largely second string and those not currently in the first team side. The team was overseen by Sean Fallon who was originally from Sligo.
- On January 29th 1975 Jimmy Johnstone captained Celtic as they drew 4-4 at Finn Harps in a fundraising game for the Burtonport disaster appeal. The appeal had been launched after six men died in the sinking of the trawler Evelyn Marie.
- Played in Ballybofey Co Donegal in aid of the Burtonport disaster fund, when 11 trawlermen were lost at sea in two incidents, before what is described as a large attendance.
- Was played with the fervour of a cup tie and unfortunately in incessant heavy rain in the second half.
- Drama near the end when Harps’ Hutton fires a penalty at Hunter in 87 minutes and then gives a penalty away and is sent off for protesting ! Roddy MacDonald’s kick is then saved by Harps’ keeper Murray.
- Jimmy Johnstone was Celtic captain on the day.
