The 4-1 win against Hearts at the weekend was just what the doctor ordered to raise spirits around Celtic Park after a string of poor results.
A repeat of the previous season's semi final with the same outcome, and in 1972-73 season they had again met Dundee in the semi final.
Steve Murray who had been in hospital after contracting an extreme form of 'flu was back training but was still short of match practise.
In an aside in the Celtic View Jock Stein singled out Tommy Burns, Bobby Hannah and Jim Casey as the up-and-coming talent.
The squad for the game was the same as the Hearts game plus Jim Brogan. Eventually Jinky dropped out and Lennox started with Jinky and MacDonald on the bench.
Celtic qualify for their 7th successive Scottish cup final.
Airdrie beat Motherwell in the other semi.
McGrain and Dalglish are named in the Scotland squad for the game against Sweden on 16 April. McCluskey is named in the under 23 squad.

Review

A bad blunder by Tommy Gemmell allowed Ronnie Glavin to nip and tuck away the winning goal. Glavin had a great game and now looks to have found his feet as a Celt.

Celtic were deserved winners and Dundee offered very little.
An indecisive first half saw both teams cancelling each other out. Then in the second half came Gemmell's blunder electing to pass across the penalty area rather than clearing his lines.
Lennox had a chance to add to the one goal late on but his shot went over the bar.
