Review
It is estimated that 10,000 Celtic fans were inside Dens Park and were disappointed with the result.
Latchford twisted an ankle after three minutes and struggled from that point onwards
Dundee were superior in every area with the veteran ex Celt Tommy Gemmell in his first full league game of the season marshalling the defence and a young Gordon Strachan running the show in midfield.
Celtic hung on but with three minutes left Pat McCluskey blundered badly on the bye line and allowed Purdie to cut the ball across to Robinson to gleefully hammer a shot past Latchford.
