Review
Celtic gave a wonderful display for an hour before running out of steam against an experienced Leeds side. Andy Ritchie scored a magnificent goal and gave a great all round performance but Dalglish was the best man on the park. On a bitterly cold night both teams gave the fans fine entertainment and only Celtic's late defensive lapses were disappointments.
Ritchie's goal will be recalled for years to come when he flicked the ball past two Leeds players on half way and beat another two before shooting past Harvey from 25 yards. The watching fans on a cold night exploded with joy at the sight of his wonder goal.
The Gray brothers, Eddie and Frank, fulfilled an ambition by running out at Parkhead, home of their childhood favourites in Leeds unfamiliar away all yellow strip. Latchford makes a bad error when he punches an Eddie Gray corner in for the equalizer.
