There was an old crocks game beforehand with ex Celtic players playing a combined team. Billy Connolly was referee and turned out in Rangers jersey, scarf and tammy.

Dalglish turns in masterful display with a glorious hat trick. United still reeling from shock FA cup final defeat to Southampton two weeks previously.
Celtic fans chant 'We want Hay' all through the game, a plea to the club to sign their former star who turned in an impeccable display at sweeper.

Johnstone and Lennox had an emotional lap of honour before wee Jinky has a his own final lap and throws his boots into the Jungle.

Billy Connolly refereed an ex players game before the match started. Connolly came out with a Rangers scarf and jersey to howls of good natured abuse from the crowd.
