Review
Celtic start well with Doyle hitting the post and Wilson hitting the bar before MacDonald scored in 13 minutes after Edvaldsson had headed a Doyle corner into his path. As the half wore on Wisla found their feet and Latchford made a fine save before Edvaldsson was forced into clearing a Kmiecik shot of the line with Latchford beaten.
In 68 minutes Wisla equalised after another Latchford save when Kusto scored with a high curling shot.
The Poles' second goal was a nightmare for Bobby Lennox who was short with a pass back and allowed Wrobel to score easily after walking round Latchford.
Dalglish scored a good late goal with a low shot after Doyle set him up and this saved Celtic's blushes and gave them a bit of hope for the second leg.
Celtic badly missed the experienced of Pat Stanton who was ineligible to play.
Wisla were a technically aware and able side and the result boded ill for the return game in Poland in two weeks time.
