Review
The first half was a disappointment but the game bolied over in the second period.
Willie Miller tripped Paul Wilson on the edge of the box in 56 minutes and Kenny Dalglish scored confidently from the spot.
Aberdeen equalised when Joe Harper ran on to a through ball and dribbled past Peter Latchford before scoring.
Harper's winner came from the spot when Pat Stanton was adjudged to have impeded Arthur Graham in the penalty area.
Celtic tried desperately for an equaliser but Aberdeen held on to win.
The feeling was that Celtic had slipped up and let Aberdeen back into it when it looked like theyt would take the points.
