Review
Kenny Dalglish saw Celtic through to the final with two fine goals.
In a reversal of the game against Aberdeen, Celtic came from a goal down to win the game.
An even first half saw both teams well matched but Hearts scored first just before half time when a shot from Hearts captain Jim Brown beat Latchford.
Celtic replied almost from the restart. Doyle swung over a corner to the near post and Dalglish bulleted the header past Wilson in goal.
At the start of the second half Celtic twice hit the post. The second goal came after the referee missed a foul or allowed play to continue. McGrain took a throw to Dalglish in the penalty box and as he tried to turn he was fouled and the referee gave a penalty. Dalglish himself took the kick and scored.
The Hearts team felt that an injustice had been done to them and the game upped. Prentice chopped Doyle down and received his marching orders from the referee and Shaw was close to following him for repeated dissent.
10 man Hearts fought back strongly and Latchford had to be on his best form to keep the Celts ahead.
