Review
Conditions were slippery underfoot and the Celtic team came out early to try various footwear for the game.
The opening play was even with the part-timers doing their bit to make it an interesting game. Airdrie scored first when Latchford missed coming for a corner and centre half March scored with a header. Celtic immediately came back when Dalglish flicked a short free kick to Doyle who ran in on goal and scored. After that Celtic upped the tempo and should have won.
Airdrie ride their luck and earn a lucrative replay at Celtic Park.
