Review
Hibs did not play badly but Celtic in this form are irresistible. The partnership of Craig and Glavin is now blossoming and every Celtic attack seems to come through the brilliant play of Danny McGrain.
Edvaldsson opened the scoring shortly after coming on for MacDonald. Glavin put Celtic further ahead on the half hour heading home a cross from Craig. Hibs fought back and pulled a goal back with a decent shot from distance by Smith. 2-1 at half time it was still all to play for.
Hibs opened well but Celtic added to the score after good play from Aitken allowed Craig to round the keeper and score. Celtic now looked the more dangerous and positive and the fourth arrived from Glavin after Craig cut the ball back from the bye line. Hibs grabbed a consolation goal just before the ends.
This was fine entertainment for the fans and it could easily have ended 6-4 for Celtic.
