Review
This game was played in a cup tie atmosphere.
McCall and Masterton were a constant threat to the Celtic defence but Dalglish was the difference between the sides with two magnificent goals late on.
A good break-away goal from Ayr saw them in front but Craig equalised after a goal mouth stramash only for Ayr to immediately put Celtic behind again. In the second half Andy Lynch equalised from a cheeky free kick and Dalglish's two goals at the end were the icing on the cake.
