- As Celtic faced yet another injury crisis this Friendly was arranged against ex-Celt Eric Smith's Accies to test out players. Of the injury crisis Tommy Burns was now added to the list having taken a knock and been subbed for the second half against Motherwell by Edvaldsson. Out was Stanton, McGrain and Glavin, with many other players carrying knocks.
