Review
Aberdeen are neck and neck with Rangers in the title race but Celtic did them no favours with a fighting display. Edvaldsson had a splendid game for Celts in defence and even managed to get upfield to score.
All told this was a good game with both sides cut-'n'-thrust at each other. Glavin got the first with a hard low shot direct from a free kick and as Aberdeen fell away through the first half Glavin just missed getting a second when his header went narrowly over.
The Dons started the second half sharper but Celtic matched them with Tommy Burns in fine form. Aberdeen equalised thru a slick move between Steve Archibald and Duncan Davidson. Back came Celtic immediately with Shuggie prodding the ball home in a goal mouth stramash. As the second half wore on Aberdeen began to get the better and Dom Sullivan made and finished a fine move to split the points.
The start of the month saw the table like this with between 4 and 8 games to play to the end of the season
