Review
Celtic let themselves down with a poor performance. Rangers deserved their victory but Alex MacDonald was fortunate when his miss-hit shot deceived Peter Latchford. Celtic fans disappointed with their teams' lack of passion.
The key contest to the game was that of Rangers Davie Cooper against Danny McGrain.Danny was given his hardest game since return to first team action. The goal came when McLean sent over a cross, Russell dummied and MacDonald shot home
In the latter stages with Lynch and McAdam on Johhny Doyle hit the post.
Rangers created more chances and were more positive in their play.
This result gave Rangers a 1 point advantage on the run in to the title.
