- Celtic left it till Wednesday before deciding whether to go ahead with the European Cup game away to Partizan Tirana. Celtic wanted 50 visas for the trip. The Albanians offered 30 and when pushed by UEFA, they offered a further 6. The remaining 14 were for the Press. On the Tuesday UEFA announced that Celtic must travel or forfeit the match, in effect doing a complete about-turn.

Review
When McCluskey went off injured McNeill reshaped his side by bringing on Roddy MacDonald and pushing McAdam up front.
Hibs led 1-0 and were awarded a penalty in 27 minutes when Conroy handled on the line. However Latchford made a wonderful save from Ally MacLeod's penalty.
Bobby Lennox put Celts level before Conroy dispossesed McNamara and ran from half way to score well. Murdo MacLeod clinched it from the penalty spot with a third after Brazil handled on the line..
