On the same day Celtic defeated Hibs 3-0 in a Reserve League match at Easter Road. The Celtic team was Bonner, McStay, Newman, Weir, Young, Conroy, Davidson, Douglas, Nicholas, Reid, Halpin. Subs Crainie and Greenfield. The Celtic scorers were Nicholas 2 and Halpin.
