Review
Provan is named as the sponsors’ man of the match with a great display of wing play.
The team always looked in command against a poor Hibs side.
The sprightly Lennox gave Celtic a half time lead after a surging Provan run down the right and after Provan had scored the second when he latched onto a short back pass, Hibs capitulated.
Doyle added a third from a McGarvey pass. MacLeod added the fourth with a great shot and McAdam added the fifth with a headed goal.
George Best still had fine touches from midfield but could not inspire the mediocrity around him.
