Review
Celtic blew a two goal lead against new Champions Aberdeen at a capacity Pittodrie.
Celtic, without Roy Aitken, settled well and took the lead when Nicholas scored coolly from a penalty in seven minutes when Miller chopped down Tommy Burns. They were two up in seventeen minutes when Burns headed home a superb cross by Davie Provan. Celtic finished the half strongly with new strike pairing McGarvey and Nicholas giving Miller and Rougvie a torrid time.
Aberdeen equalized with two goals in two minutes. In seventy two minutes McGhee prodded past Bonner and two minutes later McAdam was unlucky to concede an own goal. Celtic crumbled at this stage and only a mixture of stubborn defending and goalkeeping by Bonner prevented the Dons from taking both points. Celtic were eventually relieved to hear the final whistle.
