Review
The game sprang to life when Frank McGarvey was harshly ordered off for retaliation in 38 minutes.
Celtic recovered well and scored twice inside 60 seconds just before half time. The first came when MacDonald and McCormack went for Provan's fine cross and the ball flew by Thomson. The second was a freak when Saints' Stark tried to touch a McCluskey cross back to his keeper and only succeeded in putting the ball in his own net.
