    1983 Rangers 1-2 Celtic

Review

Goalscoring prodigy Charlie Nicholas scores a wonder goal as the Celts win for the first time at Ibrox in a Ne'er day derby since 1921.

Celtic started brightly and teenage prodigy McStay gave them the lead with a great shot. Black equalised and provoked the Celtic fans in the Broomloan stand with needless gestures.

Celtic took the lead in 70 minutes. Nicholas accepted a throw from MacLeod on the left and drifted inside before unleashing a wonderful swerving shot past Jim Stewart.

After that Rangers attacked desperately and Bonner had several outstanding saves from young Andy Kennedy.

Graeme Sinclair was highly impressive as a replacement for the suspended Roy Aitken.
