- Mick McCarthy was sent off for knocking out Crawford Baptie.
Review
Mick McCarthy sent off 8 minutes from the end took the shine off a competent victory over a physical Falkirk side. McGhee had a superb game. With a little more luck he could have had a hatrick. His first from a hard McStay cross and his parried shot was bundled over the line by Walker.
After two more near misses he finally got on the scoreline after unselfishness from Stark. Falkirk had a goal disallowed.

Manager Interview
“We always knew they would be a tough nut to crack but I thought we played some marvellous football in the first half which unfortunately wasn’t continued in the second period. There were plenty of positive aspects to take from the game as far as I was concerned.
“Despite the absence of Frank we had the game won by half time. This was due to Mark McGhee and Andy Walker who worked hard and got their rewards. I was very pleased for Mark. He has worked hard this season and deserved his goal. I thought he had a great all round performance on Saturday.
“Everyone wants to be part of our success. Those who come into the side are playing well. And those who are established members of the side realise that they cannot afford any complacency because there are quality players ready to step in if need be.”
