- The referee had to go off after barely 3 1/2 minutes having pulled a calf muscle. He was replaced by the stand side linesman. An appeal went over the tannoy for anybody qualified to come forward and up stepped a timalloy from Duntocher called Skivington to run the line much to McLean's apoplexy!
