- Liam Brady resigned as Manager following this defeat. This was no surprise and most would say it was a belated move. We did and still do respect him for leaving with dignity. First Celtic manager to leave without winning a senior trophy.
- Assistant Manager Joe Jordan took over for one day then left; Frank Connor took over in the meantime till Lou Macari came in.
