Trivia
- Pre-season friendly.
- Charles-Edouard Coridon played the full 90 minutes as a trialist for Celtic
- This match was originally due to take place on Monday 9 August, but was delayed for 24 hours due to Celtic's SPL opener being selected by Setanta for live television coverage on Sunday. The match was played on a very wet and stormy night and it was difficult to keep programmes dry. The £2 Programme was not a sell-out.
- This match was free to season ticket holders so a ticket for this match will be difficult to find and most will be wet.
Review
Charles-Edouard Coridon played the full 90 minutes as a trialist for Celtic in the 2-0 win over Tottenham.
The 31-year-old Frenchman is hoping to secure a £1.5m transfer from Lens but had a quiet game in midfield.
Craig Beattie and Henri Camara were on target with second half goals against under-strength visitors, who adopted a very defensive attitude.
"It's a worthwhile excercise," said Celtic boss Martin O'Neill. "It gives me a chance to assess a few players."
