- Maciej Zurawski scored twice as Celtic eased to victory over Third Division Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup.
Review
Celtic took the lead after four minutes.
Shunsuke Nakamura, who moments earlier had a free-kick from 25 yards saved by Grindlay, put Zurawski through and the Polish striker kept his cool to lob the ball home.
The tie, taking place in a Celtic Park that was a third full, was all but ended as a contest when Zurawski took a Nakamura pass on his chest and drove a right-footed shot from 12 yards past the helpless keeper.
Zurawski passed up the chance of his hat-trick when he rounded Grindlay only to hit the post from a tight angle after running the ball wide.
But Vennegoor of Hesselink added Celtic's third goal when a McGeady header was tipped on to the bar by Grindlay and the Dutch striker knocked the rebound over the line.
Riordan scored Celtic's fourth when he latched on to a Zurawski pass and slotted a right-footed shot from 16 yards past Grindlay.
McGeady curled a shot from 25 yards that hit the outside of the post, but Dumbarton kept their pride intact.

Maciej Zurawski scored twice as Celtic eased to victory over Third Division Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup.
Paul McQuilken missed an early chance for the part-timers, but the match was ended as a contest with two goals for Celtic within the first 10 minutes.
Zurawski lobbed the first over goalkeeper Stephen Grindlay and drove in the second from 12 yards.
Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink tapped in the third from close range and Derek Riordan fired in the fourth.
Interview: Celtic manager Gordon Strachan
Vennegoor of Hesselink and midfielders Evander Sno and Aiden McGeady had been drafted back into the Celtic starting line-up at the expense of Craig Beattie, Derek Riordan and Jiri Jarosik.
McQuilkin began as a lone striker for the visiting part-timers.
But the in-form Third Division side should have taken the lead inside 90 seconds when McQuilkin found himself with space inside the penalty area but failed to connect properly from 10 yards and fired wide.
