- Rangers go top on goal difference after their 4-0 win.
- McCourt taken off injured in first half.
- Tony Stokes scores his first goal for Celtic
Review
A poor game, and we really got off the hook in this one. An early lead by Killie could have been more. Loovens got turned badly and Killie scored a very good goal and we struggled to get into the game. A penalty helped us get back in and we were unlucky not to get a second in the second half, however some good play got us the three points with Stokes turning in a cross.
Not an easy season to come.

Kilmarnock 1 – 2 Celtic
BBC
By Keir Murray
Celtic recovered from going a goal down to beat Kilmarnock in an entertaining match at Rugby Park and join Rangers on 15 points at the top of the table.
In an impressive opening by the hosts, Conor Sammon collected an Alexei Eremenko pass to sweep the ball home past Fraser Forster in seven minutes.
Celtic pushed Kilmarnock back and equalised through Daryl Murphy, who calmly converted a 41st-minute penalty.
Anthony Stokes' first Celtic goal, a close-range effort, won the game.
Prior to the match Celtic manager Neil Lennon said that games such as this would determine his team's season.
His players' ability to fight back from a goal down and, in doing so, play attractive football will offer him encouragement.
Kilmarnock were minus the talents of defender Mohamadou Sissoko and midfielders James Dayton and David Silva, yet there was nothing under-strength about the start they made to the match.
Within the first minute, Harry Forrester had sped down the right and curled in an inviting cross for Sammon, who was denied a goal by a timely intervention by Glenn Loovens.
The Dutchman was engaged in the play moments later, when he steamed in to the back of Alexei Eremenko in midfield, and was booked by Craig Thomson.
In any case, Eremenko dusted himself down, flashed a low free-kick across to Craig Bryson, whose powerful shot from 25 yards was not too far away from Forster's right-hand post.
Kilmarnock took the lead on seven minutes when the Finn Eremenko swept the ball to Sammon, who rushed in from the left, nicked ahead of Loovens and curled a confident low shot into the corner of the net.

For the visitors, Paddy McCourt posed an early threat with mazy runs and the Israeli Beram Kayal showed glimpses of his talents with his prompting.
Yet for all Celtic had begun to find the pace of the match, they could have been two goals down when Jamie Hamill spliced the ball through the retreating defence for Bryson to chase.
Forster, however, was sharply off his line to clear the ball, but only as far as Eremenko whose attempted long-range lob at an empty goal was a few yards too high.
Killie's Frazer Wright was booked for scything down Shaun Maloney on the right wing in the 19th minute when Celtic threatened.
McCourt had made a rare start for Lennon's side but injured his shoulder midway through the half and was replaced by Stokes.
Celtic had plenty of attacking options, with striker Murphy, midfielder Kayal and defender Emilio Izaguirre striving for the equaliser.
But the Ayrshiremen defended stoutly, with Tim Clancy, Wright, Garry Hay and Manuel Pascali heading, blocking and clearing their way through the half.
Celtic drew level from Murphy's cool penalty in the 41st minute, after Wright had bundled Stokes to the ground in the box.
Before the half-time whistle, Cha Du-Ri made a magnificent saving challenge to halt Forrester's great run to the Celtic 18-yard line, then Majstorovic headed a fraction over the bar from a Maloney corner.

Efrain Juarez replaced Scott Brown for the second half, the Celtic captain having failed to recover from twisting his ankle.
Celtic began the second half as Killie had the first. Stokes tried his luck with a dipping shot from 25 yards which Cameron Bell smothered, and in 52 minutes he scored his first goal for the club since his move from Hibernian.
The creator was the athletic Izaguirre, who raced into the box and crossed sharply for the Irishman to side-foot home from four yards.
Just 90 seconds later, Stokes lunged at Hamill, his studs landing on the Killie midfielder's shin. Thomson's issuing of only a yellow card was lenient.
Celtic enjoyed the lion's share of possession, with Maloney and the Honduran Izaguirre combining well, and Kilmarnock reliant on rare counter-attacks to try to forge the equaliser.
Mixu Paatelainen sent on Danny Invincibile and Rui Miguel for Forrester and Hay, then Liam Kelly for Clancy as Killie chased the game.
Stokes had a few attempts at goal, cutting in from the left and blasting at Bell with his right, while at the other end, Majstorovic challenged Sammon strongly just as he teed up a shot from 10 yards.
With nine minutes to go, Maloney showed a glimpse of the glorious free-kicks he used to score when his dipping 25-yard shot tested Bell's athleticism.
Then Izaguirre, in a move similar to that which created the winning goal, crossed from the left-hand side of the box, but Stokes was a fraction away from connecting for a tap-in to extend his team's lead.

Kilmarnock 1-2 Celtic Sunday, 19 September 2010 15:20
The visitors lost their first league goal of the season when Conor Sammon gave Killie the lead after only seven minutes but just before the break, Stokes, on for the injured Paddy McCourt, was brought down by Frazer Wright and Daryl Murphy netted the penalty.
Former Hibernian striker Stokes converted an Emilio Izaguirre cross from close range in the 51st minute and the Parkhead men looked comfortable for the rest of the second half giving Neil Lennon his 13 straight SPL win in succession to his credit since becoming Celtic manager.
A clean sheet victory for the visitors would have seen them record their best start to a domestic campaign since 1906 – five wins without losing a goal.
But it took only seven minutes for that statistic to disappear.
Alexei Eremenko's clever pass sent Killie's lone-striker Sammon through on goal and the Irishman lost Celtic stopper Glenn Loovens before slotting low past Hoops' keeper Fraser Forster for a dramatic if unexpected opener.
The visitors pushed hard for the equaliser but in a 15th minute breakaway, Kilmarnock midfielder Jamie Hammill sent skipper Craig Bryson clear of the Hoops' defence but Forster won the race to the ball at the edge of the box.
But the rest of the half was controlled by the visitors with McCourt, who had returned at the expense of injured James Forrest, looking the biggest threat to Killie with his mazy runs.
However, in the 21st minute the former Derry City player landed awkwardly on the bye-line following a tussle with Eremenko, appearing to injure his shoulder, and had to be replaced by Stokes.
Nevertheless, Celtic's corner count increased as the pressure intensified but they could not fashion even a half-chance to test Killie goalkeeper Cameron Bell.
However, in the 40th minute, after another period of intense pressure, Rugby Park defender Wright clumsily brought Stokes down in the box to concede a penalty.
Murphy sent Bell the wrong way from the spot to deservedly level the scores – albeit from Celtic's first direct shot at goal.
Moments from the break, Parkhead defender Cha Du-Ri's deflected cross from the right-hand side hit the Killie bar but the home side survived and held out for the three minutes of added time.
Celtic skipper Scott Brown, who had suffered a couple of hard challenges in the first half, was replaced at the interval by Mexican Efrain Juarez.
But there was no reasons to suspect the one-way traffic would not continue towards the Killie goal and four minutes after the restart Stokes had an attempt from 25 yards which Bell saved with a degree of comfort.
Still, it suggested a more direct attitude from the visitors and it paid off in the 51st minute when Stokes scored his first goal since signing from Hibernian just before transfer window closed.
Hoops' Honduran left-back Emilio Izaguirre took a pass from Shaun Maloney and his cross from the left sped across the box leaving the Irishman to volley in from close range before taking the acclaim of the travelling fans behind the goal.
Kilmarnock brought on Danny Invincibile and new Portuguese signing Rui Miguel for Harry Forrester and Garry Hay respectively, as they tried to turn the tide.
The home side did push forward more and in the 77th minute Hoops' stopper Daniel Majstorovic, who had taken the armband from Brown, put in a great tackle to prevent Sammon getting past him inside the Celtic penalty area.
But it was still mostly Celtic in the closing stages. Bell made a good save from a Maloney free-kick and then Izaguirre sent in a terrific cross from the left again which just evaded Juarez almost on the goalline.

Lennon pleased for scorer Stokes
Celtic boss Neil Lennon expressed his delight for Anthony Stokes after the striker's first goal for the club gave them victory over Kilmarnock.
A typical poacher's goal from Stokes completed Celtic's comeback in the 2-1 win at Rugby Park.
"I think he will score goals for us and there's more to his game than just goals," Lennon told BBC Scotland.
"He can play in a variety of positions. He's a threat. He's a menace and he's a hungry boy. I'm delighted for him."
And Stokes's 52nd-minute strike maintained Celtic's 100% record in the SPL this season and stretched Lennon's perfect league record since taking charge to 13 matches.
"I'm absolutely delighted," said Lennon. "I'm thrilled with the character we showed after going a goal down and some aspects of the play were very good.
Neil Lennon
"We kept giving the ball away cheaply under no pressure. The goal was preventable. A midfield player's got on the wrong side of theirs and Glenn Loovens sort of got his back turned by Sammon. It's a good finish, to be fair.
"Once we got a stranglehold of the game, we were OK."
Left-back Emilio Izaguirre set up the winner and also linked well with Shaun Maloney throughout the match.
"I think Emilio's a very cultured footballer and the two of them are very clever," Lennon said.
"Both goals came from their really good play and we could've had another one when Emilio's flashed one across the goal and the two boys just missed a touch so it's a very pleasing aspect.
"At times we didn't do that, it was a wee bit pedantic in possession but overall we were OK."
There were a couple of injury blows for the visitors, with Paddy McCourt replaced by Stokes midway through the first half, the winger landing awkwardly on his shoulder and captain Scott Brown twisting his ankle.
"McCourt landed awkwardly and he felt something in his shoulder but obviously we don't know what the extent of the damage is. To lose him after 20 minutes, it's a blow to him but it's a blow to us.
"We're not sure if it's a dislocation yet. We'll know hopefully by tomorrow.
"Browny tweaked his ankle on the astroturf by the side of the pitch. He went over on it a little bit but he should be OK by the weekend."
Celtic face Inverness on Wednesday in the third round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup and Lennon says he will shuffle his pack for the home tie.
"Winning breeds confidence and it's a trophy that we'd like to progress in so there'll be a few changes but not too many," he added.
