Unbelievable atmosphere throughout and brilliant celebrations – so pleased for NL and the players, you could really see what it means to everyone, can't imagine what it'll be like when they are winning leagues
Massive psychological hurdle finally jumped, trophy in hand, not at our best on the day though second half was a dramatic improvement and we were worth three goals of a difference by full-time
Thought Stokes introduction was timed perfectly when Well eventually began chasing the game and we were growing into our preferred short passing game in and around their penalty area, more suited to that than Sammy, who was OK but infuriating with his decision-making all day. We were finally starting to motor on 70 mins and Wilson's goal duly arrived as more and more space opened up for us.
Ki's goal in first half was a godsend as we were no better than average up till that point, Mulgrew's a lovely bit of icing on the cake, two wonderful strikes of the football
Rode our luck a wee bit early on when the ref looked to be card happy – convinced he let Craigan off with his blatant handball as he knew he had bottled big Dan's earlier – quite unbelievable lapse in open play from anyone let alone a CB already on a yellow, if he'd walked at 0-0 would have almost certainly been a different game, almost unforgivably stupid, no mistake this guy will cost us if he's a fixture next season.
Other than that just a wonderful day with plenty decent individual showings and a ton of industry, on the whole very composed during the period whilst the match remained very much in the balance. Above all hopefully the start of something special. Thrilled for Lenny and a touch emotional even celebrating on f/t.

Celtic claimed their 35th Scottish Cup with a comfortable victory against Motherwell at a rain-soaked Hampden.
Ki Sung-Yeung struck from distance in the 32nd minute for a sensational opener, then Gavin Gunning shook the Celtic crossbar moments later.
Motherwell captain Stephen Craigan deflected in a Mark Wilson shot in the 76th minute for Celtic's second.
Charlie Mulgrew completed the win with five minutes remaining, confidently striking a free-kick from 20 yards out.
Motherwell welcomed back goalkeeper Darren Randolph and Steve Jennings for their first Cup final since lifting the trophy 20 years ago.
With just two minutes played at Hampden, Gary Hooper volleyed a Commons ball off the Motherwell crossbar, but the assistant referee had already flagged for offside.
Moments later, Gunning sent in a cross at the other end, but Daniel Majstorovic made the clearance.
The big Swede was subsequently booked for a rough challenge on John Sutton. Keith Lasley joined him in the referee's book for a similar challenge on Loovens that could have easily been a red.
A well-worked Celtic move into the Motherwell penalty area ended with a feeble header from Georgios Samaras under pressure from Shaun Hutchinson.
Scott Brown broke free to pounce onto a Commons through ball on the 18-yard line, but Steven Jennings cleared the danger.
Majstorovic needed to be at full stretch to keep pace with Chris Humphrey's darting run down the right wing, then Ki was carded for a sliding tackle on Lasley before opening the scoring with a sensational strike from 30 yards out.
The deadlock was broken in the 32nd minute when the South Korean international latched on to a Commons square ball and blasted a left-footed cannonball shot past Randolph and into the corner of the net.
Three minutes later, Gunning had the Celtic crossbar shuddering in the wind with a blistering shot from 35 yards out that almost restored parity.
As half-time approached, Craigan similarly handled the ball on the edge of the Motherwell box and Murray waved play on.
After the restart a lengthy spell of possession for Celtic around the Motherwell penalty area ended with Emilio Izaguire's cross being deflected out, then a Hooper back-heel was cleared by keeper Randolph.
Humphrey tested Celtic keeper Fraser Forster in the 54th minute with a volleyed effort from wide on the right, then Gunning's cross was thwarted on the left wing by Commons.
Samaras should have netted Celtic's second when he drove into the Motherwell penalty area and went to ground too easily under pressure, then Mulgrew's shot was blocked by Tom Hateley.
Wilson claimed Celtic's second goal of the afternoon when he blasted in a right-footed shot from the 18-yard line that deflected off Craigan into the back of the Motherwell net in the 76th minute.
Five minutes from full-time, Mulgrew stepped up and hammered in an inch-perfect free-kick that evaded Randolph and sealed Celtic's win.

Mark Wilson relieved after Celtic end trophy drought with Scottish Cup triumph

Mark Wilson has spoken of his immense relief that Celtic did not end the season trophyless.
The Parkhead full-back admits Neil Lennon’s side entered the Scottish Cup Final feeling the pressure after coming up short in the SPL title race and League Cup Final, both of which were won by Old Firm rivals Rangers.
A 3-0 victory over Motherwell ensured there will be one item of silverware which spends the summer in the Celtic Park trophy cabinet and Wilson can claim to have played a full part in putting it there.

The Scotland full-back produced an excellent performance at Hampden, nullifying the threat of Well’s bright spark Jamie Murphy and also firing in the shot which Stephen Craigan deflected over the line for Celtic’s second goal.
Wilson thinks it only right that his boss Lennon ended a traumatic first season with a major honour and he believes the team assembled by the Northern Irishman can be considered unfortunate to have landed just one honour for their efforts.
He said: ‘There was a lot of pressure on us today, because of the possibility that we wouldn’t win anything, so I’m just happy the team has ended the season with a trophy.
‘I think we have deserved more than we got this season. It was a big disappointment last week, although Rangers won the league fair and square.
‘It was great today for the manager to get the first trophy under his belt.’

Before the match, Celtic’s major shareholder Dermot Desmond revealed that Lennon would be rewarded for his efforts with a new improved contract to carry the team into next season and beyond, a decision Wilson is fully behind.
He continued: ‘Look at the reaction of the fans and the players to see what they think of the manager. We would buy into him getting a long-term deal, definitely.
‘I think he has done fantastic with a squad which quickly came together round about the Braga games. He has really pulled us through the season.
‘Two cup finals and pipped at the post on the last weekend of the league is not bad for your first season.
‘I don’t think he would be happy with me saying that but, for a new manager, it’s not too bad a record.
‘There is pressure going into any cup final with Celtic but especially today because we lost two other trophies at the final hurdle.
‘I would much prefer to have won the league but it’s always good to be involved on the last day of the season and win the Cup.
‘I will remember it because it has been a fantastic season. Although we have not won the league or the League Cup, we have still had some great times along the way and we deserved to win something.’

Having put injury woes aside and climbed above Cha Du-ri in the pecking order to claim his status as first-choice right-back, Wilson knows he faces a fight for his place in the Celtic team next season.
Fit-again German cap Andreas Hinkel may well be moved on this summer but Cha looks likely to stay, while Welsh prospect Adam Matthews will arrive on a free from Cardiff City.
‘As things stand, there will be four right-backs going for one position and I’m a believer that everyone starts the season equally on a clean slate,’ said Wilson.
‘I thought that way when I was out the team and this year it will be no different.
‘These boys will be looking to get me out the team just as I always viewed the start of the season as a chance.
‘I’m just happy that I’ve been injury-free for most of this season and that the boss showed faith in me.
‘I’m happy to play a part in winning this trophy because, in other years, I’ve won medals and not really taken part.’

Wilson won’t be involved in Scotland’s Carling Nations Cup matches against Wales and the Republic of Ireland next week, however, as national coach Craig Levein grants time to rest the knee problem which has caused him problems since joining Celtic from Dundee United.
‘He was good enough to give me a call and ask if I needed the rest,’ added Wilson. ‘As much as I’d love to play for Scotland in every game, it just wasn’t possible.
‘That would have cut my summer rest right down to three weeks and he was fairly understanding of that. Hopefully he will keep me in mind for future games.’
