Trivia
- Did this game seal the league title for Celtic?
- Aberdeen incredibly mess up and lose against a reserve Motherwell side strung together after a flu bug dented their squad, M'well actually wanted the game postponed! Ex-Celt Scott McDonald scored for Motherwell, and ex-Celt Barry Robson was sent off for Aberdeen as he elbowed McDonald in the face. Ex-Celts doing their part for their old club.
- Celtic on top with 69pts, and 4pts ahead of Aberdeen with a game in hand.
- Incredibly upto the 89th min of the Celtic game the mood was getting desponded, and then an unbelievable strike by Rogic.
- New Celtic signing Kristoffer Ajer limped off the field with a knee injury while playing for current club IK Start in a 1-1 draw with Lillestrom. The 17 year-old will move to Parkhead in the summer after being secured for £750,000.
- Celtic subsidising away tickets to Kilmarnock by £6 each to help supporters and build numbers. A good gesture.
- Unsurprisingly, ex-Celt Neil Lennon has walked away from under-fire & practically bankrupt Bolton Wanderers as their manager. Rumours of a return to the Celtic helm.
- Davie Moyes expresses interest in the Celtic managerial role but with a catch: “I’d want to be at a club that would give me every chance to win and be involved in the Champions League and be at the top level.” So has ex-Celt Malky Mackay.
- Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill has signed a new four-year contract as reward for guiding the country to this summer’s European Championship. O’Neill is currently joint-favourite alongside Neil Lennon to be the new manager of Celtic.
- Celtic are understood to be contemplating an offer for 25 year-old Dundee FC defender Paul McGinn.
- Nadir Ciftci, on loan to home nation side Eskisehirspor, scored in a 3-3 draw against Akhisar Belediyespor before becoming entangled in a scuffle on the pitch.
- A total of 33 players from Celtic have been called up for international duty, with 18 selected from Ronny Deila’s first-team.
- Fourteen players from the Scottish champions will go on to represent their senior national team in the upcoming fixtures at the end of the month, while four others have been selected for a mixture of Under-19 and Under-21 games.
Last day of Rugby’s Six Nations. Scotland have a better tournament than they had hoped (i.e. they’re not last for a change). Scotland are still rubbish. - Politics: The UK is ratcheting up for EU Referendum. Impact could be huge for pro-EU Scotland as could lead to second independence referendum.
Former Don Andy Watson has urged the SPFL to arrange a title-deciding match between Aberdeen and Celtic on the final day of the season, with post-split fixtures beginning in late April. - A Pars fan in Sweden, who is a professor of applied mathematics, has made a formula that predicts the probability of Scotland’s top clubs filling the top six spots in the Premiership. Professor David Sumpter’s formula predicts that Celtic are 95 per cent certain to stave off the title challenge of Aberdeen and hold onto their title again in May. His predictions are aimed at boosting Scottish maths skills and his formula has gained approval from the Scottish Government.
- TheRangers fans/ex-players whinging about some of their Championship players not making Scotland squad. The rest of us just laugh.
Government publication has admitted the number of football fans convicted under controversial anti-sectarian legislation has been “very small”, reviving claims that the legislation is unnecessary.

How can you not be reveling in this as a Celtic fan?
FFS the huns had victory ripped from their sweaty palms, Aberdeen get ***** slapped by the Motherwell flu ward and we mug the Ayrshire huns in their own midden with a wonder goal after 80-odd minutes of WTF?
After the last few weeks of rising pressure and media spin, the Universe has re-aligned to it's rightful axis.

It was rough to watch but it was a championship winning result
Just lost track of the times we won leagues playing like that in some games 1977 also 1986.
The clue is when you watch the longer versions of the stunning goal is in the build up.
We had players forward driving and pressing for the opening and the goal was an end product of that late in the game persistsnce that we have often been renowned for. It took a stunning piece of individual quality to score the goal and only Celtic have that extra quality in SPL
Too often it does not feel like it and I am the first to agree we should be playing better and entertaining more.
Anyone who thinks this group of players were not in it to win it should have a look at the celebrations of the team after the goal.
If you cannot be happy at that result, the sad truth is you will probably never be happy!
Me I'm going to mass in a wee Bohemian town, coffee and some lunch then a few Pilzn and catch a game on tv
Watched too many losing Celtic teams not to enjoy the game that practically seals 5 in a row. the last time that happened was 1970 when I was 8 and couldn't really appreciate what it meant.
I do now…

Kilmarnock 0 – 1 Celtic: Late goal sees Bhoys go 4 points clear
http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/celtic/kilmarnock-0-1-celtic-late-goal-sees-bhoys-go-4-points-clear-1-4076846ANDREW SMITH
The scenes of euphoria that followed the final whistle at Rugby Park yesterday told everything you need to know about Celtic’s year of living dangerously.
The last-minute, 30-yard strike from Tom Rogic was certainly stupendous. It was also certainly stupendously important in ensuring that Ronny Deila’s side could not be removed by Aberdeen from the summit of the Premiership – and that the Norwegian couldn’t be flailed for, another, potentially cataclysmic failure.
But heck and feck, were the celebrations from Deila and his players over the top, after an impoverished performance wherein they were more than matched by the set-up second-bottom team?
On a Celtic victory parade, strips were hurled into the travelling support and expletives were hurled from the Celtic manager as he performed the so-called Ronny Roar for the first time since last October. In a fashion, indeed, he as good as described as orgasmic… even while stopping short of using the actual word. If Sky were forced to apologise for Deila’s exhortations of “yes, yes, yes… f***ing yes”, Deila was in no mood to do so.
“You can’t control your emotions – or the words in those times. But I don’t think I am the only one in Britain who has been caught saying those words,” he said.
He put the roar’s return down to the fans being “fantastic” in standing with their team to the end. Truth is they would have ramped up their roars for his end, but for Rogic’s rip-snorter that he had earlier gilded the lily over: “It was a glimpse of magic in the last minute and in these games, when you win like that – and I’ve done it sometimes in my life – you remember it for the rest of your life.”
In fairness, the Australian admitted he “won’t forget it any time soon”. Chucked on with 11 minutes remaining, no goal looked like arriving – though Kilmarnock had a couple of breaks and efforts – until the midfielder received a pass inside from Callum McGregor, swivelled round Julien Faubert and unleashed a glorious rising drive that curled in at the right-hand corner of Jamie MacDonald’s goal as if a magnetic force was pulling in there.
It’s hard to think there will be a better goal this season. Or perhaps in the 23-year-old’s career. “I don’t think I’ve scored a better goal,” said Rogic, who confessed to hoping the strike helped him get his contract talks moving along. “It’s massive, a very important goal for the club given the circumstances. I was just delighted to change the outcome by having an influence. It doesn’t always go like that.”
Things seem to go like that for new Kilmarnock manager Lee Clark, whose team have taken only one point and scored two goals in his five matches in charge. The Geordie seemed near to tears at the injustice perpetrated on his team. They didn’t create much, aside from Kris Boyd drawing a top-class reflex save early on, but broke forward intelligently and put bodies on the line to prevent their goal being threatened on many occasions. Erik Sviatchenko had a header cleared off the line by Faubert in the second period, and was twice off target with the goal seeming at his mercy from two more in the first period.
While Kilmarnock had drive and purpose, Celtic were laboured, Deila conceding they had not played well “at all”. Clark could hardly contain himself over the bitterest of ends for his team. “Galling really because if any team deserved to win the game it was us,” he said.
“I have experienced defeats in my time as a player and a coach and manager but that’s probably the hardest one I’ve ever had to take.
“Sometimes you have to hold your hands up when a world-class goal goes into the top corner from 30 yards.”

Tom Rogic scores for Celtic against Kilmarnock
Tom Rogic broke Kilmarnock hearts with a stunning late goal for Celtic
An incredible last-minute strike from Tom Rogic gave Celtic a precious victory against Kilmarnock.
Both sides had chances to win with Killie's Kris Boyd testing keeper Craig Gordon and Celtic's Erik Sviatchenko having a header cleared off the line.
But it was disappointment in the end for Lee Clark, who had watched his struggling side defend valiantly.
And Rogic ensured Celtic go into the international break four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Ronny Deila's side re-established a four-point gap over Aberdeen, who lost to Motherwell later on Saturday, with Celtic's next league game against Hearts on 2 April.
Dogged Killie
Both sides at Rugby Park were desperate for the three points, but for very different reasons.
Kilmarnock are eager not to be dragged into a relegation battle with Dundee United, who trail them by eight points ahead of their meeting with Dundee on Sunday, while Celtic are well aware of the Dons snapping at their heels in the title fight.
Celtic handed a first league start to Turkish forward Colin Kazim-Richards and Clark had to make do without his top scorer Josh Magennis, who rolled his ankle in training, and Steven Smith, who is out for the season.
The first real chance fell to Kilmarnock's Boyd, whose angled volley from a Kallum Higginbotham centre was blocked well by Gordon.
The visitors looked content to nibble away at a pretty solid home defence – Leigh Griffiths and Sviatchenko both watching headers flash wide.
Kilmarnock and Celtic players
Sviatchenko (second from right) had a headed chance for Celtic in the first half
Deila switched his formation to accommodate Kris Commons' replacement Patrick Roberts in the second half but Lee Hodson almost took advantage of some positional confusion in the Celtic midfield as he burst through to fire just past a post.
Denmark international Sviatchenko thought he had broken the deadlock with a header from Roberts' corner only to be foiled by Julien Faubert's alertness on the line.
As the clock continued to count, down the frustration among the Celtic fans grew louder.
Needless mistakes at the back fed that as Dedryck Boyata – who replaced the injured Kieran Tierney in the first half – was caught badly to allow Gary Dicker an unchallenged shot, but the midfielder's effort was wayward.
Late rally delivers for Deila
Kazim-Richards had a speculative shot with 10 minutes to go but it was weak and reflected his afternoon's performance.
Top scorer Griffiths almost snatched victory at the end but his curved strike sailed wide.
And just as a draw looked inevitable, Nir Bitton's replacement Rogic sent a thunderous 25-yard shot past Jamie MacDonald to send the Celtic fans falling over each other in delight behind the Kilmarnock goal.
