Trivia
- Friendly quickly arranged following postponing of matches due to frost.
Review
This match was arranged at short notice when both sides had their games postponed due to heavy frost.
Hibs were one of the few clubs with undersoil heating at that time.
Celtic played in yellow/green/yellow which they had only previously worn in Vienna against Rapid three months previously.
Lot of anger directed at the players at the final whistle from the Celtic support even though it was only a friendly.
The Old North, Centre and South stands as well as the standing enclosures were open with both sets of supporters sitting / standing together. The crowd was just under 6000.
Ally Brazil scored a hat trick for Hibs.
