Review
Celtic scored early when McGugan rose unchallenged to head home an Archdeacon cross.
Rangers then had a good spell but missed chances mainly through McCoist. After half time Celtic took control and killed the game with a second goal.
The McStay brothers combined on the right flank and when Willie crossed the ball over Brian McClair leaped to head home an excellent goal.
The best man on the park was Danny McGrain who is approaching his 36th birthday. He tamed Rangers' main threat Davie Cooper and still found time to help his attack whilst playing at left back to accommodate Willie McStay at right back.
As the game went on Danny grew stronger and his leadership was magnificent on the day.
