Biog

Lancastrian striker with Celtic for a spell in autumn 2008. He played in the reserves' glamour friendly against Manchester United on 5/11/08 and hit his first goal in the 11-0 Youth Cup rout of Stranraer two days later, suggesting he was a signed player rather than a trialist.

By January 2009 he was appearing as a trialist for Dumbarton in the third division, but wasn't signed on at 'the Rock' and returned to England. He finished the season with local amateurs Rochdale Town.

On 31st August 2009, he reportedly joined Welsh Premier League side Rhyl FC on a non contract basis. But days later he joined Clitheroe in his native Lancashire.

He had come to prominence at Gretna during 2007/08 when a round of redundancies at the ailing SPL club left the seventeen year old Taylor as the only striker on the club's books. Although Gretna generally played a defender as a lone striker, he made six SPL appearances from the bench before he too was made redundant when the club went out of business. He is believed to have spent September 2008 on trial at Blackpool immediately prior to his spell at Celtic.

He had joined Gretna after a year at Hamilton Accies, where he made a solitary first team appearance in the SFA Cup on 6/1/07. Hamilton had snapped him up from Rochdale's youth setup.

Crossed the Pennines to join FC Halifax Town in July 2010, hitting four goals at Brighouse Town on his debut for the Northern Division phoenix club. A new new team-mate is Stuart Gray's wee brother Nicky.
