Trivia

Review

A good performance from Celtic with Malky MacDonald now recovered from injury and outstanding.

And so ends 1940. Celtic (like Great Britain) have survived, but no-one could say that it has been a good year. 1940 has acquired heroic status in British history books. It was not like that at the time! For Celtic, there was one great moment in the winning of the Glasgow Cup, but in the Southern League, they are 9th out of 16. Football is a chaotic business! Attendances are poor for all sorts of reasons, mainly transport and logistic, but emphatically NOT true to say that it is not taken seriously.
