Review
Early Celtic pressure paid off when Celtic picked the ball up thru Divers who sped it forward to Chalmers who scored. Johnstone soon got a second when he was on hand to flick in a deflection off the bar from a Murdoch shot. On half an hour Thistle pulled one back when Haffey was deceived by a cross-come-shot. They followed this up with a further two quick goals to go into the lead at half time.
Thistle attacked hard at the start of the second half but Celtic weathered that storm and hit back after 20 odd minutes Chalmers scored a great individual goal. Hughes added another before Chalmers completed his second hatrick in two weeks just before the full time whistle.
