Review
This game saw Celtic break the hundred goals in a season mark. St Mirren put up a great fight in the first half to keep it goalless at half time. But in the second half Celtic cut loose. Gallacher opened the scoring with a shot from the edge of the box after good work from Auld and McBride. That opened the door and Auld got the second with a header from a Gemmell cross. Chalmers was not to be denied and he scored the third from a Gallacher pass. And it was Bertie Auld that scored the 100th goal of the season when he headed home a Jimmy Johnstone header that came off the underside of the crossbar. Chalmers added a fifth before the end.
