On this day in 1900, a 3,000 crowd rolled up to Celtic Park for a league clash with St Mirren and were rewarded with a 3-0 win for the home side.
John Divers, Willie McOustra and Sandy McMahon were the Celts who netted the goals and McMahon would finish joint top scorer with Johnny Campbell that season with both players bagging 13 goals.
The St Mirren game was the fourth-last match of the season but the Celts lost their next two games by 2-1 to extinguish any hopes of lifting the title.
