From its very earliest days the Celtic Supporters Association has contributed annually to a wide range of charitable causes and organisations ranging from Ex-Servicemen at Erskine Hospital to Lourdes Pilgrimage groups.
However early in 2007 the members of the association agreed to set out on their most ambitious charitable drive ever and one which would leave a wonderful and precious legacy for people in Nigeria – clean water.
The Brother Walfrid Wells project – in conjunction with SMA Fathers – aims to provide a vital lifeline to thousands of villages in the African country by suplying funds to dig new wells and boreholes to provide a clean water supply. Each well costs approximately £250 and already the CSA and supporters clubs across the globe have helped to raise thousands of pounds.
