- Played at ground of Airdrieonians
- Celtic Strollers – kind of a scratch first team & reserves side of Celtic players: 6 first teamers & rest reserves
- Strollers was probably a term adopted from Queen’s Park who called their reserves side “The Strollers”. Rangers called theirs “The Swifts”.
- Some reports call the Celtic side the Celtic Crusaders which was a more commonly used name for Celtic’s reserve sides
- William Naughton so impressed Celtic having played “a demon game” in this match, and was to then be signed up by Celtic. Quite a feat on a holy day playing in a match between two Catholic church linked sides!
